Driving through the New Mexico landscape, marveling at the expansive vistas, the quality of the atmosphere, the changes in climate and terrain within short driving distances; from high desert, to prairie, to mountain pine groves. In some area noticing very little evidence of human interference, finding it comforting. All the while ignoring the irony that to enjoy all this required driving a rental car, on a paved road.
